Bayley Hall Racing is taking action to minimise their climate impact
Bayley Hall is one of the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Championship race drivers. Spending a fair bit of time travelling around Australia competing in top-tier motorsport representing sponsors and partners, and having career aspirations to progress into a professional driving career internationally.
Understanding the pure nature of motorsport has some impact on our climate, BHR wanted to take positive steps to first understand the type of impact we have and then look to address our impact by leading by example and encouraging others within the motorsport industry to do the same.

Verifying our carbon footprint, actively reducing our emissions and contributing to climate projects
BHR have engaged Carbonhalo to verify our emissions so we can begin our journey to understand the impact we have. Our next steps are to create an emissions reduction plan setting specific targets around our focus areas. We will actively engage with other within the Motorsport industry creating awareness and encourage positive action. Where unavoidable emissions can not be removed we will offset these through certified climate projects in Australia and internationally.
Our first focus area will be on emissions that we can control, followed by engagement with upstream and downstream suppliers. We aim to gain visibility within our Scope 3 emissions to driver greater impact.
I consider myself a proud millennial, growing up surrounded by information about the environment and climate change. It genuinely bothers me to think that my career in motorsport leaves a footprint, but I’m determined to change that. My goal is to bring innovation to the Australian Motorsport industry, creating a new standard for Race Drivers and leading by example for the newer generation of participants.
I’m committed to staying aware of the environmental implications of my career and being a driving force for positive change in my industry. I’m passionate about supporting engineers who are pushing the boundaries of technology. Together, we can find new and more sustainable ways to operate. Let’s race towards a greener future!
